It's a shame PUBG (probably DayZ too) has wine issues due to anti-cheat. The anti-cheat software does not keep cheaters out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6XPBoNHa8s

Some thoughts on Wine: It'd be nice if Wine got the vmware vsphere client console to work properly. At the moment it can configure most settings on a vsphere server, it just completely fails at accessing the VMs. I'd like some games from 1995-1998 to run, it'd be nice if Wine finished support for DirectX 5/6 modes. Overall Wine works well on a lot of apps/code. I usually find that if your code is 3-5 years old Wine will generally run it ok. Desktop apps are still a total crap shoot though.

A DirectShow API to V4L filter in Wine would increase my usage 200%. But I get it, Wine goes where the money is and right now that is with gaming and that old DShow base class from 2007 is a pain in the neck to work with.

There are scripts you can get to run/install the wine games without much setup, since some games need special configuration to run well or at all. Also it is very dependent on GPU drivers, AMD users are likely to experience the most varied perf results with Wine with all these regressions and in developer drivers.
