      Some more info:

      - Firefox will use up to four processes if no addons are installed [1]. You can change the (maximum) number of processes with dom.ipc.processCount in about:config.
      - Client Side Decorations (CSD) is being worked on, probably will land *after* version 57. [2]
      - Input date and time seems to be coming for version 55 [3].
      - Wayland support? Latest work to be found on github: https://github.com/stransky/gecko-dev. There are flatpak and copr packages [4].

On some Systems the Multi-Process Supportet is disabled, i had to enable it manual in the about:config and reset the e10 Settings.

I have now 12 Processes, 10 Tabs, 2 Pinned Tabs and 9 Addons

Indeed. It is my understanding that Mozilla disables e10s-multi for 20% of the eligible population (i.e. no add-ons) to compare crash rates, performance, etc. (For now at least).

If you use add-ons, then you have to enable this manually.

I got like 20 firefox processes and 11 plugin container processes here.

7 tabs open and 10 addons.

And yes I had to enable e10 manually.

I've decided to completely ban firefox from any consideration and use.

                Cool story, bro.

On-topic: I'll have to try out the new e10s stuff. I do have 3 addons on my work machine, so I can't guarantee it'll actually work, but I'll give it a shot. At home, I'm pretty sure there aren't any add-ons, so hopefully it'll be fine.

Yeah, as long as incompatible extensions are allowed, many people are going to have the issue - and I realize folks are upset about the Fx 57 deadline, but there are plenty of developers that aren't going to change their extensions until they are forced. Those that decide not to, life goes on.

YEs firefox is not a good browser it is slow and overloading the system, the developers and management are inefficient, they are greedy liars because they stated to support XP until the end of the year... they are not serious unlike to take money from donors.
