I hope Ubuntu will pull in the latest GNOME Terminal, Nautilus and Gedit because those are still stuck in version 3.20.

Running Ubuntu 17.04 "Zesty Zapus" (which is not released yet) I have an issue with that when I login to GNOME then within a minute it crashed and I get kicked back to the login screen, then when I login again, now the session works and doesn't crash anymore.

They have been, even with Wayland, if using GNOME Tweak Tool.

Can I remove the stupid screen shield (that makes sense only in phones) without having to install a freaking plug-in? What about the hot corner bullsh*t?

              IMO gdm is awesome.

Anyway in order to replace it; From a new tty:
              Code:
              yourpackagemanager install lightdm
              systemctl disable gdm
              systemctl stop gdm
              systemctl enable lightdm
              systemctl start lightdm
              Cheers.

Unless I want to change the user.. but that's not the point.. the point is that this is a simple option that is not available because whatever reason.

It makes sense anywhere other people might have access to your computer. For example, at the office. You can turn it off under Privacy > Screen Lock.

                    Clearly you didn't even look.
