I find it fascinating that in 2016 people are still arguing about desktop environments. I find it even more fascinating that instead of making our desktop experiences faster and more productive, developers (and users) have opted to waste CPU/GPU cycles (and electricity) on pointless enhancements that have resulted in little to no benefit.

Successful Writers aren't successful, because of the pens they use. They're successful, because they make an effort to write. Use your computer for something useful and stop wasting your time arguing about desktop environments.

If you want to complain about something that matters, then point out that packaging software is a disaster on Linux (for developers), doesn't scale and makes it incredibly difficult for software developers to distribute software to users. There's something worth arguing about.
