Button long press support will be very welcomed on my TV, which doesn't transmit menu presses trough CEC.
Other than that, this release seems pretty boring, at least for the platforms I use Kodi on. Wasn't this release supposed to be a feature one?

Hmm wonder if openelec will ever update i386 version, my htpc does not have 64bit processor(And kodibuntu is dead slow compared to openelec).

There is libCEC, but your hardware has to be compatible with it. The raspberryPi is one such device, or you can buy a USB Cec adapter from pulseEight (I don't know any other vendor, unfortunately).
What's also unfortunate is that really few devices (read: graphics cards or integrated graphics chips) have CEC compatibility. I also wish the same protocol would exist for USB3.1/DisplayPort. When it works, it's great.

I don't think i386 will get any more updates (don't quote me on this). It's a dying platform in my opinion. But you could still try to compile the latest Kodi+OpenElec system and see if it works.

Edit : oh, it also looks like some people have cooked up CEC interfaces for arduinos, so that would be a cheap way to use it.

It's damn ridiculous that graphics cards with hdmi outputs does not have CEC, while i.e. raspery pi or tegra has.
