    March? So, Ubuntu 16.04 will include GNOME 3.18, and not this one. Release times are so (mis)aligned that Ubuntu is always at least 1 GNOME version behind.

      But it is aligned with Fedora releases

        It's always been that way except in the good old days the new release did make it in. Back when Mark would talk about release cadences at conferences and how well it works to align with GNOME, etc.

          It will matter even less given the rewrite of unity to qt5/qml. That's the toolkit they are focusing on and will probably try to match cadence with.

              Except for beeing the first release with full Wayland support it seems pretty blend right now.
