Rather than Java they should use Go with it's NaCI for sandboxing.

Isn't it "NaCl"...? When read in Spanish, be the last letter a lowercase "l" or a capital "I", it sounds like "nazi".

"conservative defaults mean no cookies, JavaScript"

          So basically - no features.

Most web sites uses cookies in session authentication proccess? Am I right?

Many web sites use Javascript in the page rendering process for various features. So basically - none or not much of a page view either.

Geez sounds like the return to the days of static HTML. Now seen as boring, back then seen as "fast & light".

So they are making a new web engine including javascript engine (even though it is disabled by default it will be still available). Seems like a major undertaking.

Some pages uses only js for rendering pages - fancy client side framework fetches data from site api.

It will be dead on arrival even it would have enough to navigate the web.

People don't use a browser just for safety but also because:
                    - is by default installed with your OS
                    - it integrates with various addins and extensions (which reduces safety yet improves even more the features)
                    - it is simple o install. Adding a Java package as a dependency which is not installed by default on any of the main 3-4 OSes (Windows, OS X, Linux Ubuntu or Mint, Opensuse)

So it will die before the Rust based browser will be launched and probably will become the default on Tizen and Firefox OS.
