Ubuntu 14.10 XMir System Compositor Benchmarks

Phoronix: Ubuntu 14.10 XMir System Compositor Benchmarks

With Ubuntu 14.10 "Utopic Unicorn" due for release today, here's some benchmarks showing how the standard Unity 7 desktop on Ubuntu 14.10 is comparing to the still-experimental Unity System Compositor and using XMir for running traditional Linux OpenGL games.

      Nice

      It's getting pretty close.
I suppose these performance points means that using XMir for legacy software is ok performancewise.
Now its just a matter of getting all the drivers for Mir/Wayland.

Pretty impressive performance so far, every single test is quite close. Once we get drivers from NVIDIA & AMD, and another Ubuntu release or two it should be basically par.

Keep the benchmarks coming after future updates!
