                  WebP or WebM.

                  I like the latter because it has a pause/stop button. I hate gifs for their shitty quality and for their looping playback which you don't control and because they often play faster than normal which makes my head spin.

                    I'd really like to know how much we'll gain if we take some GIF and convert them to WebM. What's the compression ratio between these two? We might be surprised..
