    It needs vider on both sides? I think there are already solutions in ubuntu software center that allow free internet calls to any clients. Beat me if I'm wrong.

        Just like Skype Viber needs its client on both sides as it uses a custom proprietary protocol. If you're not OK with this use an open source alternative ( Ekiga ? )
