    My point is that GNOME development and release management always puzzles me.
    This story is also about GStreamer 1.0 in GNOME 3.6. And even though you explained that it's allegedly totally normal, trying to adopt a new major version of a library (GStreamer in this case) so close to a GNOME release is just the latest instance of me completely failing to understand the logic behind this.

    (And yes, the NM 0.9 move was completely reckless and self-centered by GNOME. I can't imagine KDE ever forcing a dependency that would break GNOME.)
