Greetings everyone,
I don't know if any of you are up to date concerning Mac OS X Leopard and the current development that is being done on making it fully DPI-independent, I'd like to know if there's a similar movement in the Linux-sector. Gtk is vectory-compatible by using Cairo, but how effective is Cairo compared to DPI-independence? There's a lot of rumours/talking about higher DPI-Displays and it would be a shame if Linux/BSD would look ugly scaled in comparison to OS X and in some parts even Vista (Microsofts efford of being resolution independent doesn't look that good, actually).
Any information on that matter? Especially with Gnome 2.20 and KDE4 on their way I really hope they thought about the issue.
Thanks.
