The biggest UI polish they need is a new default theme. The icons, especially those razor-thin symbolics, are so 2014.

I do quite like them. To me they don't look dated at all. More like a grown ups version of those "modern" themes that look overy simplified to the point of being a bit incomprehensible at times much like a childrens toy.

Nice, this is exactly what I like to hear. Plasma doesn't need any more features for a while, it just needs bug fixes and polish.

And I just made Plasma completely freeze yesterday while testing KDE Neon by enabling wobbly windows and the fall apart effects and then moving windows around and try to snap them to corners.
Let's see if I can reproduce it today and write a proper bug report about this too...

Anyway many thanks to the wonder KDE developers fixing so many problems!
Hopefully more people will report bugs and confirm / triage them.

          I couldn't agree more!
I'm really tired of its monocrome flat design!
Plasma cannot matched even the design of Windows 7, released in 2009, that had colors, 3D icons, glass effects, transparency, etc.
Actually it cannot even match the design of Windows XP, released in 2001, which at lest had colors and 3D icons and the title bar was clearly distinguishable.
          Such a shame!

Ugh shut up about the damn default theme! There's literally no pleasing you people. Doesn't matter which DE it is or what distro you're using, someone thinks their opinion of a UI must be dealt with. What's the point of using Linux if you can't handle spending 5 minutes to tweak it yourself? It's not that bad. It's much better for the default theme to be simple. Whatever you think it should be, someone else will complain.

            Anyway...

Great to hear not only about the bug fixes but the community effort. Personally, I don't think I've encountered a single bug in maybe 3 or 4 months. KDE is real solid now.

I quite like the understated, consistent, and functional look of the default theme. For those shock and awe addict kids, the theme store is full of eye candy. Just like 3.0 release, I am expecting the 3.3 release will not be a drastically different look but functionality and reliability will be even more improved.

Anyone else noticed that the people making fun of every update including Wayland bug-fixes have been rather quite since Plasma 6.

Good thing for you that Plasma fully supports theming then...
