They do some workarounds to avoid some issue, but it makes more issue for other people.

I now believe HDR needs a decent 10-bit color monitor to be bearable without artifacts. That is why I don't turn on HDR even if my monitor says it can handle it. Saving that feature to use if I can buy a "good" monitor.
