You sound entirely radicalized to an ultra left leaning POV. It is obnoxious to read this type of intentional disinformation.

Well, their five years plan of appealing to DEI still stands and is not going to change. So i predict that they will keep pissing away money and get nothing in return.

It also doesn't help that they had to kick out one board member because of CoC violations (what those were, is unknown) and that another Gnomie got kicked out of freedesktop.org because of CoC violations. How exactly the Shaman got convinced to leave, is still unknown as well.
I predict that this will get more. We will see more and more Gnomies getting removed.

you are clearly on one side. seems like you're representing the progressive side fairly well, with all the progressive naming calling and insults. i don't know why I'd be upset at all except for you being totally rude to people in this forum. why act like a jerk in this community just because you disagree about some internet drama happening somewhere else?

I don’t see what any of this has to do with the GNOME Foundation's recent announcement though.

Did they secretly engineer the fake Godot scandal to attract more funding or something?

This has been a one-sided fake controversy manufactured by offended weirdos who covered themselves with an excuse of plausible deniability to harass the Godot folks. Then, they bounced off onto the other woke thing a few days later because no one was actually interested in the bile they spewed. All that remained is grifters who forcefully milked it for engagement. There’s never been so-called „culture wars“ on anything.

Clearly my extreme bias in favor of reality got your panties in a twist, I guess you like it that way.

Anyway, this has gotten a bit off-topic. Tell me what you think of the GNOME Foundation's recent plans instead.

The issue wasn't the tweet "hurr,we are a woke engine", the issue was that when one person, who was a developer and donator, replied with: "please focus on engine development and not on politics"... he got banned immediately from all places.
Then another person came around and asked when they get bitmap font support merged, and he got banned as well.
It was the banning spree that caused the controversy.

Nothing progressive about a game engine trying to purposely provoke culture wars.
