Yes, it stops at the first result when repeatingly pressing the same letter button, which makes zero sense. If I wanted it to stop, I could just stop pressing buttons.
Instead, I need to type a large part of the file name that I want Dolphin to jump to really quick, which is silly.

I've made a post with several links as references, but Phoronix wrote "Unapproved"... So let's wait...

Thanks for the hint on Meta+Esc btw. I wish they had left Ctrl+Esc, etc untouched but at least there's an alternative according to your comment.
Note: There is a norm about "Ctrl" and "Alt" being used for programs, so "Meta" being used for the desktop environment.

    4) Using custom / available resolutions on wayland (like 800x600) - not possible

And just to confirm - Did you really reused ctrl+esc hotkey, that was used for opening process viewer for ETERNITY and assigned it to _CLOSE WINDOW_ ? Are you actually really trolling your users guys? This is no joke - on fresh KDE install, pressing ctrl+esc CLOSES THE CURRENT WINDOW! Where did all the quality control on KDE gone?
If that proves being a factual, reproductible statement then it is indeed a very serious punctual problem, as well as a serious hint at a more broader challenge in keeping up testing quality at KDE.

The longer a behaviour has been "active" in a software, the more cautiousness must be taken in changing it even ever so slightly. This here would be a trust-breaking item for me, ending up with sticking with my version "forever" at least because fearing too much new breaks with updates. Which would be ultimately counterproductive for everyone.

With obstacles like that, it feels like bad Windows clone not following through.

Feels like an interesting feature for some but if it had to be implemented it should sure as hell be an optional behaviour.

Because it being by default would wreak havoc with at least half of the people I help learning how to use computers. They are not comfortable with the concepts so like very much a clear "step by step" approach, which in that use-case would mean "first filter files by search term. THEN only manually select desired file(s)".

    You're welcome Michael. :-)
This was actually fun. Love that new style. Thanks for that

So KDe Neon will be not updated to Ubuntu 24.04.01 alongside Plasma 6.2.
