        Great, now GNOME will perform 2% better, which is still slower than all other DEs

          As this CAN give it a boost. The undertaking for this is too great (some doesn't want to learn a new language). So why not just wait for COSMIC that just released an Alpha release, it basically has the Gnome "feel"to it too.

                    Base Gtk has always been quite fast, and Gtk 4 is pretty decent. It's mutter that has issues.
