Good, they can go and look for evidence if they need one. It's not my problem some can't read and analyze that thread.

Gimp has previously suffered from not being able to integrate code drops, so I understand why they wouldn't want some consultancy doing work for a fixed period.

Also, the gimp developers have integrated those interested like AlexSa/CMYKStudent quite well through the GSOC project.

Right now Gimp probably has the fastest development it has had in over a decade, so I dont think we have much to be worried about.

Those complaining will also be those that will be unwilling to contribute with their own time or effort, so they can be safely ignored.

You posted more than me and offered a stray github link which I did read and that offers zero evidence that supports any of your claims. Feel free to try again and quote specific portions or explain yourself better if you actually want to convince anyone else.

Just read through this. For me it's clear Gimp has a major organizational problem that makes it so slow, but its developers don't consider it a problem in the first place. So I don't expect it to improve in the sense of pace of development unless maintainers will decide something needs to change.
What specifically is this link that shows GIMP won't accept sponsors? Where exactly is the organizational problem?

Well maybe when GIMP 3.0 is released, that will finally appease those people who won't switch to Linux because there's no Photoshop.
