I suppose this is for their mobile UI project?

I thought is was established that Back/Cancel goes to the left, OK/Continue to the right to simulate the reading flow.
That makes you read all the options from left to right and still have muscle memory "go on" is the rightmost button.

Now they are stacking the buttons, which is supposed to go where?
Following the doctrine, "Continue" should be at the bottom, so you can read through all options and the "Continue" one is at the bottom.
Now here it is at the top. Maybe because the dialog is getting very large, so you do not have to read it all?
Also having the butone on top of each other is more difficult to read then when they are on the same line and you can just scan over it with your eyes.

The longer I think yout this, the more I think this is (just another another another) UI fail.

I must say the markdown editor by manu he/they/she looks pretty cool. Libadwaita apps may look boring but at least they are not ugly.

So which is the new dialog style? The one on the left or the right or both?

And how will it look on a wider window?

So boring that even the default Breeze Light theme in Plasma attempts to mimic it.

The one on the right. I like the newer stacked style with larger touch targets (may as well lean into that since it is one of GNOME's strengths). I was going to say that particular color palette is a bit garish, but it's just an example showing how the shading fixes the save and discard options looking the same with a red accent color.

Just read this appalling conversation, where a GNOME developer rejects a honest and well-thought-out bug report, and a fix for it, too. It was just too hard for him to test the bug report properly, and it was just to hard to admit that he was mistaken.
What, exactly, was the honest and well-thought-out bug report in that conversation, and who was the GNOME developer? Just so we're clear about which side is which?

Well, in that case, please feel free to avoid GNOME Shell for life. We'd be better off without people who like parroting low-skilled drama queens
