I don't disagree. My point was more "let's not be hasty". My brother's wife works for the German government. I think she agrees so much she is one of those people trying to make it better for everyone at her level. So, she is often disheartened when people jump on the conclusion (which is indeed coming from somewhere) when the actual issue is elsewhere.

Ouch! Besides making a fool of yourself, not sure what your purpose was there? Have you read the second paragraph by any chance before getting triggered? I find it absolutely delightful to see people preaching tolerance, respect and social betterment make a fool of themselves by shitting on those values as soon as there is a hint of disagreement... It's even worse when line 2 of your citation contains "yeah, to spell it out completely: the line above was a joke".

You are yourself the archetype of the very kind of people you're fighting. Isn't that great?

Oh, and since that seems to be important to you, I think I should correct you on something: I'm not a man.

I agree with what you wrote :-)

    By the way:

On https://pkgstats.archlinux.de/fun : KDE Plasma is the most used desktop environment

    A survey with Gentoo users:

But I never said that, I just wrote that the default software has an advantage.
I don't know if Plasma is the most used or Gnome is the most used, there are no reliable statistics around or at least I haven't found them, if the most used DE was Plasma I would be very happy, however I use it because I like it, not because it is the most used. I still have a machine with Gnome, because I like to see the evolution, but I prefer Plasma for my taste.

That's where you come from and that's where your money goes to when you support the Gnome Foundation. The source is GF annual report, but it seems your brain can't process such simple thing.

Stop fooling yourself. It's just free eating, drinking and sightseeing. They can discuss such things remotely or make much less expensive meeting. How many such conferences are there per year? If more than one, they are wasting money. Furthermore, because of such woke foundations many people may stop supporting the development. Why waste time reporting bugs, trying to help fix them when someone else gets money from outleechy and you don't? Then some woke CEO or whatever announces another 200 thousand bucks conference. Inteligent people already know it's sabotage from competition. The same happened to Mozilla. They're ruining Open Source trough woke ideology.

Now they were not short from totally dying but they were heavily hurting.

This argument works for Windows because people that use Windows never (most of them at least) never changed their default system, but people switching to Linux already proven that they are capable to choose and get what they want.

Now would maybe many use Plasma if it were preinstalled, sure but that does not say that Plasma is better it just says that for those users the differences are not big enough that they would waste 1 minute to change it. That means Gnome is not horrible...

Most people start a browser maybe Libreoffice or 1-2 Other apps and use it and don't interact with the Window manager very much otherwise. This Microoptimisation folks like you and me are a small minority.
Learn to read before writing bullshit!
I just wrote that GNOME is not that popular, do you have data to disprove that statement, if you have it I'm ready to change my opinion!
I'm not a communist, but you seem like a fascist since you don't respect other people's ideas, it's not that anyone who thinks differently from you is a communist eh! I don't understand what politics has to do with this, you have some problems...
