Also a 4K Youtube video playback is absolutely smooth when it was choppy before.
Based on the number of problems you're still running on Xorg? Video playback on Firefox has been smooth eversince they first introduced video hardware decoding nearly three years ago now, and it has been steadily improving with every release.

While I don't monitor and compare every Firefox release, I had already noticed lower CPU usage with video decoding back with Firefox 116. On the WebGL Aquarium demo I was getting 30 fps with 15,000 fish and didn't notice any improvement after upgrading to Fx 118.

Nice to see actual performance improvements. Kudos to FF team!

I have that issue in Falkon my desktop too sometimes.

I already got them in 117. I was very positively impressed by both speed (about 1s) and quality (comparable to best online translators), as well as the unobtrusive rendering. Maybe it would be nice to have a 1-click way to translate (now it requires 2-clicks).

Try using the Firefox mobile browser with noscript extension, and then disallow js from all domains except Phoronix. My preferred version of Firefox mobile is the "Mull Browser" fork on F-Droid, which comes with noscript available by default if I recall correctly.

    What?

I thought it had been explicitly disabled because this forum is so broken even on desktop browsers.
