    Well, I must admit that I never used wayland, only tried it a few times for less than five minutes. I happily use Xorg....

      any way to stop tearing on X11. games and even youtube has tearing. on wayland i have no issue. if i switch to cinnamon DE (x11) also no tearing. only kde on x11 has horrible tearing in everything apparently.
      im on amd APU mesa 23.0.1.

      edit: scrolling in browser also shows tearing

        Screen tearing can be irritating especially when you want to get some work done quickly. But like everything else on Linux, it's easy to fix.


        Tearfree options should do it for all X11 stuff. Does add a little bit of latency.
