    This was developed in the ongoing mobile initiative and will allow nice stuff like 2D gestures (see https://blogs.gnome.org/shell-dev/20...ile-an-update/).
    While especially nice on mobile, it's also a pretty big improvement for three-finger-gestures: start the gesture to go to the overview, then change your mind and switch the workspace instead - all in a super fluent and natural way. I strongly hope this will land for 44.

      Implicit grabbing of all events for button and touch press->motion->release sequences
      Er, what about right click context menus? And drag-drop inside applications?
