There are a ton of other pieces to a browser: networking, history, bookmarks, location bar, cookie management, tab handling, plug-ins, etc. I don't know if Servo's implementation of those things had any particular advances over Firefox. In general, Rust allows better and more reliable parallel and asynchronous operation.
