    True, but most people only look at releases. No releases in a while? It must be dead. Commits don't matter to them.

      I'm using SDDM-git for a while now and the Wayland backend seems to work fine. But it would be great to see releases more frequent.

        That is not true. We switched back to X11 because an important missing feature with Wayland: keyboard layout change.

          Personally I deinstalled SDDM and now log in to standard TTY. Then I just launch Plasma/Wayland from the command line.
          SDDM gave me unnecessary problems without any gain and it's purely optional so I removed it.
