That's ridiculous if true. I thought the goal of sanctions is solely to weaken the economy, but it looks like it escalated to cancelling everything related to Russia and Russian people. I mean what's the end goal here? To make the life of regular Russian citizens so miserable, to the point that they all will try to remove Putin? Yeah, it worked really well in 2020 in Belarus didn't it?
Also, it seems people keep forgetting that Russia (like Belarus) is not a democracy, so you can't "just remove" a leader from power.

People keep forgetting that the west is not a democracy either. USA had election fraud in plain sight, Canada enacted martial law because people protested mandated vaccinations with an experimental and dangerous drug that doesn't stop transmission of a flu-like disease..... And so on and so on. Clean your own houses before you judge other countries politics. And it is not like the west has issues with dictatorships, they seem to be doing fine with Saudi Arabia, China, or Turkey.....
