LibreOffice has already provided some support for Microsoft SmartArt Graphics while now they are working on more advanced diagram support for this open-source office suite...

    I see "Process" listed.
Some sort of light BPMN would be really great.

That'll be a cool feature to have. I can see myself making a lot of dumb shit with it.

Michael Off topic, but a couple weeks ago someone recommended using AdNauseam as an ad blocker since it clicks on the ads that it blocks. I think it was Quackdoc. Due to getting sidetracked on another tab and then thinking about this it took like 10 minutes to post and I happened to notice that in all that time my ad counter went from 14 to 17 clicked ads and reported $24 and then $26 dollars in generated revenue. I hope that generated revenue is actually getting to you, that AdNauseam is a success for both of us, and that other people will use it if it is helping.

It actually has been getting to me in regards to odd questions in my Google Rewards surveys. A few days ago it asked me if I was interested in buying a Jeep. A Jeep dealership is one of the Phoronix ads that AdNauseam is clicking on for me.

Just thought that Jeep thing was funny in a nerdy, metadata kind of way.

Weird coincidence. I was just yesterday using Draw for making a diagram.

what i would like to see was a small improvement in the (much) forgotten LibreOffice Base:

Be able to open other forms with a button, like one can in M$ Access.

that would enable it to kind of behave like a small program... but that bug remains "cooking"

Yes, please. A feature that goes beyond it's most basic implementation.

Same. I wish my workplace would use Draw but instead they got me a Visio license. Visio is a generally better experience but I want Open Source to succeed.
My explanation for Visio's experience being better comes down to 6 things:
              1. Draw doesn't have infinite canvas expansion
              2. Draw is missing more advanced shapes (hopefully, the work referred in this Phoronix article can improve or rectify that situation).
              3. Draw has awkward behavior of labels for lines and shapes
              4. Draw's shape and line alignment are absent or awkward in many situations
              5. Draw's compatibility of the files outside the app isn't great right now. This isn't necessarily LibreOffice's fault (this can be worked-around via PDF export)
              6. Draw doesn't have the ability to run in a browser with cloud drive integration

An open source alternative to Visio is Draw.io.

                Demo: https://app.diagrams.net/
                Flatpak: https://flathub.org/apps/details/com...drawio.desktop
                Github: https://github.com/jgraph/drawio
                Nextcloud integration: https://github.com/pawelrojek/nextcloud-drawio

Highly recommended. I think this app is a gem.

                  Agreed.
I´ve been using it extensively at work these last few years for BPMN process modelling instead of the absolute crap that Visio is.
The best would be Bizagi, but I think the license costs about 1000€ per user. 😱

skeevy420 that sounds like the kind of thing that risks getting Phoronix banned for click fraud.
