The aquarium demo was one of the first ever examples of WebGL. It's like the glxgears of WebGL, not useful as a benchmark (or anything else, really) in any capacity. Is WebGL really still so irrelevant that there isn't ANY real world usage that can also be doubled as a benchmark? And, if it is so, why do you care about it's (lack of) performance?

AFAIK https://web.basemark.com/ does some quite reasonable benchmarks, however the most common real world use cases of WebGL are AFAIK stuff like smooth zooming on maps and of course games. Haven't come across benchmarks that explicitly test those :/

P.S.: if there are, it would be great so see some fresh benchmarks here on phoronix! (would need to be done on Mesa, DMABUF sharing does not yet work on nvidia, even on the 495 drivers, see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1735929).

I like that Firefox supports private class fields since version 90 and the system-ui value for font-family since version 92.
But I still miss:

• <dialog> element.
• Password reveal toggle for <input type="password">
• Input clear button for <input type="search">
• The datalist attribute for input type color/date/time, etc.
• The max attribute for input type="date" works shitty.
• Server-Sent Events (SSE) support in devtools.
• WebGL performance is slow.

Overall Firefox is great though! 💜

I've done so, its on the Mozilla Bugzilla for years.

Mozilla raised the salary for the CEO every year, while the market share went down every year. They fired the whole Servo (render engine) team. Fired the whole Rust team. Fired other developers and dev teams. Hired a bunch of bloggers who recap whats trending on Twitter.

Feel free to tell your taies of the last time you walked into your manager's office and told him explicitly and in unconditional terms that you did not want a pay raise for the next 5 years.
