Out of curiosity, what you suggest?
How would you like it to be?

Mario Junior Whether something looks ugly or good lies in the eye of the beholder. What's more important is that KDE comes with sane defaults that allow anyone who used a computer in the last 15 years to just start using it without any entrance burden.

I rather have it this way than the GNOME way. They litterally had to get rid off nearly all application features and custom theming support in order to force a "nice and polished default theme" the good old autoritarian way. If you like that philosophy, then get a Mac. While also locking you into user interface guideline philosophies that you can't influence, at least the apps are not feature-starved and there is an actual software ecosystem…

Happy birthday KDE. I keep coming back to KDE after multiple DE hops.

            Happy birthday KDE!

BTW. the rounded corner transparency issue is still there, it's even visible on the video

And it's still the best by default. If you don't like the theme, just customize it like crazy!

Who tf (except you) cares about the default theme? Everyone customizes it for themself. https://store.kde.org/browse/ — here you are.
It's a very sane move to focus on bugfixes and new features, instead of looks.

What a ugly theme this time too. Plasma theme designers are stuck at XP interface. May be due to the budget constraints they can't hire real actual designers or something. It's still sad to realise customisation is the only way to fix their outdated UI, Big ugly scrollbars. I hope valve fork plasma, hire actual designers and make it better for everyone. Btw who needs fat scrollbar on touch interface when you have screen gestures?

They focus more on usability (that's what they claim) but their DE looks complicated to an average user. If ask them to simplify it, they will quite a some outdated design laws from a man, "usability" expert who is no longer relevant and outdated.

Let alone making a beautiful de, they can't even fix the ugly rounded corner on default dark theme. LOL.
Even windows vista has nice rounded corners. I think it will take them another 10 years to fix that simple bug. The funniest part is they think UI and UX designers at apple, android and microsoft are stupid. 😂😂😂
