VPN is fine and used all over the place. Some public VPN providers may be compromised. It's not the same thing.

How about something useful, like hardware accelerated video on Chrome, like the one they had and self-sabotaged it? Oh right, you want us to buy a Chromebook for that, never mind.

Remember that starting 2022, Chrome Web Store only lets publish Manifest V3 extensions, that kills AdBlocks and many other extensions.

A Mozilla representative said they will implement "part" of V3, implying they will not sabotage adblockers. But mark my words, in the next round of funding negotiations, Google or anyone Mozilla turns to (since they all earn from advertising), will pressure them to implement V3 in full, no matter the backslash. Especially if Firefox usage numbers start to grow again after Chrome shoot itself in the foot. And knowing the actual Mozilla board of directors thirst for money, they will bow to the pressure with a smile in their faces.

Prepare yourself to migrate to a small stuborn Firefox fork, with the guts to maintain older code alive.

Not interesting as hardware acceleration, is this WebRTC at least peer to peer or it routes everything through Google's servers ?
