I think this is not only browsers, but services. You can have the most airtight browser, but if the server you are interacting with is compromised, all your security falls apart. And today is very hard to not use something from the big providers. And if you do, you are locking yourself out of a lot useful stuff.

And forget VPNs, those were exposed as fake privacy a while ago.

Seriously?! Just about every high-profile VPN has indeed been exposed as logging everything that passes through it, as a starting point. @ddg for any of a dozen stories on the topic in the last year or so.

It seems that Hardware Video Acceleration is fixed under current Ozone x11 in Chrome 96. (tested with raw built chromium 96 )

Remember that starting 2022, Chrome Web Store only lets publish Manifest V3 extensions, that kills AdBlocks and many other extensions.
