Too bad that the high CPU usage after logout/login of some apps like xdg-desktop-portal and kdeconnectd + some others has not been fixed yet.

KDE 5.22.2 is behaving really nice with Wayland now. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and things are a lot better than last year. The biggest problem I encountered was a Plasmashell memory leak that was fixed without the need for a restart. Only problem in 3 weeks, not bad, considering how things were in a not distant past.
Since Ubuntu LTS will use Wayland by default next year (fingers crossed), more and more developers are updating their apps too, which in turn makes Wayland more viable for more people.
Next year surely will be the no turning back point for Wayland adoption.

Looks like some really helpful fixes coming. Good to see #417939 fixed as well, though some time until it's in a release.

I expect it to largely replace Skanlite in the future.
