Thank you for the link. Nice to see a Adwaita Theme for Firefox complete with tabs located below the address bar.

Well, I rarely dig into my bookmarks menu (I keep the ones I access most in the bar, or a shortcut on my new tab page) but I had need to at the weekend. The extra padding for each bookmark entry meant I saw about 2/3rds of the list I did before the update. Every time Mozilla do a UI tweak, they seem to be saying, "we want to lose users".

Indeed. But the effect is functionally the same; everything takes up more room to permit those less dexterous or with larger digits to manipulate the interface.

FireFox 89 on Ubuntu won't do non-HTTPS, keeps redirecting from http to https even if I try http://thing.tld:80 chromium and curl work fine.

Maybe you enabled "https-only mode" unknowingly? Go to
          Code:
about:preferences#privacy (auto smiley detect is so annoying)
, scroll to the bottom and check it out.

It's set to "Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode" Install directly from mozilla.org to work around the issue, but so does using a fresh profile.

I was quick to criticize the new UI, but the final version is quite good in fact.
