      Code:
      ./configure && make && sudo make install && pray_it_works
      Jokes aside it depends on your distro.

        Just wait for your distro to supply an RPM.

          Isn't it used by all major web browsers and youtube? If so that's amazing!

            Will firefox integrate dav1d codec, or it detects it?

              Yep dav1d is used in the Browsers. But so far is not much content in 10bit AV1 on Youtube. Should be nearly all in 8bit. Maybe we get soon 10bit AV1 on Youtube. Would help against Banding that is quite a problem on YT.

                Firefox does use dav1d for AV1 decoding since 2 Years https://hacks.mozilla.org/2019/05/fi...t-av1-decoder/

                  But you'll have to wait for browsers to update their dav1d version.

                    It has become the standard decoder used by essentially everything including the Windows (currently) optional add-on decoder.
