I have move from GIMP to Krita for Krita is better and does not contain old library that can have security issue.

What about stability? I'm not using GIMP very often but when I do I don't want to see crashes.

Does Krita have anything similar to GIMP's heal transparency? It's the main thing I use GIMP for, but it's a mess since it breaks after every GIMP or Ubuntu update.
