As usual, anyone that has no real job is able to waste all day writing internet posts, coming and writing after every Qt or KDE news. Also, C++ has evolved a lot and now it has a lot of things that, in the past, were only accessible through Qt, Boost and a bunch of other libraries. For the GUI, wxWidgets is a very good choice.
On the mobile, God bless Flutter. I have had a hard time in the past ( no Xamarin was even worse than Qt bug-wise ), but now we have a superb framework, that is cross-platform.
