Seems to be doing effort for the sake of doing effort. Lutris already has this and even configurable. Is there any masochist who uses stock wine on its own for gaming?

Lutris installs games from Steam and GOG via "recipes". If you don't have accounts there or otherwise don't own a game there, then Lutris doesn't help. And since most software in the world isn't available from Steam....
