If other DEs do not show the same issues, it's simply because they do not access the same functionality in the driver.
Turns out it was unrelated, I saw the errors before logging in too. I replaced Linux-git with Linux and Mesa-git with mesa, and still have issues. KDE might not have killed the GPU bad enough for it, but it still has exact issues described. POS software maintenance.

There are some external factors that may cause problems. But KDE Plasma works in a stable way in several computers that I manage, and in two Kubuntu virtual machines (one for VMware and another for VirtualBox). If Plasma wasn't stable it wouldn't work in those virtual machines, and it works very well.

Anyone can try a Kubuntu virtual machine going to https://www.linuxvmimages.com/images/kubuntu-2004/ and later seeing it for himself.

Some hints about those virtual machines that can be downloaded:
        - Disable the network access of the virtual machine (I only enable it in the virtual machines that I produce).
        - If you want more speed while trying the virtual machine (because you are not going to regularly use the virtual machine): go to "System settings", in the search box write "File search", press Enter, and disable the "Enable File Search" checkbox.
        - If you need even more speed, you can disable desktop effects.

"Works for me, must be you." Yeah, no, it's KDE. Last time I checked, KDE not working is KDE's issue.

If KDE Plasma didn't work -> those virtual machines wouldn't work.

Anyone can try the aforementioned virtual machines (https://www.linuxvmimages.com/images/kubuntu-2004) and see how KDE Plasma works.

I've been with KDE through thick and thin (i.e. 3.x and all 4.x releases). While it had some annoying bugs at times, it always worked overall.
But that was never enough for the "it doesn't work for me, it must be a pos" crowd. So don't even bother with them.
