Will this release be delayed by one year for open-source users?

Since RCs are available I would guess not.

That was debunked time ago (https://www.qt.io/blog/qt-and-open-source).

Well, well. That's brief and scarce on details to a suspicious degree.

You might want to look up the definition of that word. What you linked to is an empty claim, substantiated by nothing than the word of a less-than-reputable company.

"Expose as being false", I found.

As an avid KDE user and fan... even I have to admit this post says nothing. It is a pleasant platitude at best.

I am very concerned that Qt never addressed this head-on outside this one post. It smells of a group trying to do something not very friendly to OSS.

Other people would think that it smells more... a new user writing:
                  • "KDE user and fan"
                  • "a diehard KDE user"
                  but later:
                  • "QT"
                  • "dalphin"

What are you trying to prove here? There's nothing in the link you provided. There's not even a promise. I'm talking about Qt company babbling.
