Actually, I'm using it right now :-)

But I'm aware that it is not a option for everybody, since several programs are not Wayland compatible yet. And if we are being honest, there is a lot of people that don't give a crap for bleeding edge software, and just want a stable environment for doing their work or leisure.

So unfortunately, we are not getting hid of X.org for years to come.

      That is good news indeed.

You're conveniently side-stepping the point that X apps will continue to run under Xwayland.

Theoretically you will use Wayland and any application not ported to it will work on Xwayland. But in reality that is not always true. I personally had stumbled upon a couple ones that refused to launch under a Wayland session.

There are lots of reasons Canonical choose not to make Wayland the default yet, and is not only the Nvidia driver shenanigans.

In the past I would care about providing answers for people like you, but I'm tired of that. For every thing I say you will try to disprove it because "I have a discussion to win".

So get a life kid, nobody cares about what you think.

Any chance someone will implement WaylandX so I can have va-api, be able to use dwm and use obs-studio at the same time?
