Nth_man That would be GTK 3.24. They keep it long term. (Of course there’s no weasel marketing speak like you would get from Qt)

Nth_man LTS is just Weasel marketing speak. GTK 3.24.0 was released 3rd Sep 2018. Qt 5.12 LTS was released 6th Dec 2018. Both get updates to this day. GTK 3.24.17 was released last week.
So GTK 3.24 has seen 94 days longer support than Qt 5.12.
Qt is LTS with all the marketing speak. GTK is just long(er) term support with dull ascii release notes.
Too bad you got played by Qt marketing and couldn’t figure out to look up basic facts.

It's seen again that someone who hasn't a real job... can also be arguing all day long, telling the same without proofs, without giving any web address. Unlike him, I won't keep writing the same web addresses again and again. Let him keep on wasting everyone's time.

So basically you're depended on whether or not they want to maintain it long term, just like Apple with their software updates (Apple doesn't have EOL timelines either and just decides a few months ahead of a new release when a phone/tablet/Mac gets EOL'd).

I quit using KDE/QT month ago because of CLA-WAR insanity because of this anyone should stop using QT products because CLA-WAR is the death pill to any free developer who is independent.
also it is a fact that KDE/QT put in security holes like the folder autostart lately removed because any usb stick who is plugged into a KDE linux is autostarting whatever virus is in the folder. so chinese communist hackers can attack linux dirt cheap.

anyone who cares about security should avoid KDE/QT at all cost.Last edited by Qaridarium; 08 April 2020, 08:16 PM.Phantom circuit Sequence Reducer Dyslexia
