    I believe what you are describing is correct. At last in the latest KDE Neon with the latest stable version this still occur, unfortunately.

    The first time I noticed something wasn't right was when I saw a friend doing a file transfer on the Mate DE, so after some tests I discovered this strange behavior on KDE.
    I' ve only seen such behaviour when cutting larger files, especially video files because the progress bar seems to only display the writing process but not the deleting and in the past there were also some problems with such video files...

      Never paid much attention to the read/write operation, but the unplug-before-finished thing he mentions is real. I experienced it a couple of times (though not every time), and so did my dad.
