        I'm still wondering just one thing: how many more Wayland refactorings and optimizations will they be able to cram into a release-candidate'd Mutter before 3.36?

          intelfx Who cares? The freeze is over Gnome-shell just merged a handful of MRs. You get 3.36.0 plus a virtual, untagged zero-day release.
