I like Spice, but the QXL driver needs a bit of love / updating for modern X. On the server (what you're connecting to side) craps out and X crashes when running Arch.

Does this work with native comps too? I'd love to replace NoMachine with this. Also, how about PAM support? How does it authenticate?

For multi-user sessions, X11 has XDMCP+SPICE, Windows has RDP (or even RDP+SPICE). What would you use for Wayland?

In case you're wondering, it also works the other way round. I have built QEMU for Windows with SPICE support and used a Windows SPICE client with it. Even supports multiple displays.

It supports Windows but it doesn't support free systems like ppc64le (Raptor).
It also lacks support for VirGL on tcp connections, but I gave up on this

Heh, I always thought it used SPICE ("Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis") under the hood, so ruled it out as probably flexible but inefficient. Terrible name choice. Time to revisit, I guess?

I didn't understand what is a "multi user session", but I'd be a bit surprised if wayland didn't support that one way or another.
