I gave-up waiting for LibreOffice to get a slim/light at Abiword.

I have been writing my letters and addressing my envelopes with vi/vim while printing letters and envelopes using some basic enscript options. Gets the job done using a heck of a lot less CPU resources and/or electricity!

Performance related, a series of benchmarks will be nice LibreOffice vs Microsoft office in terms of performance for word processing tasks, spreadsheets computation. And also for features they offering, on Linux and Windows or even Android, why not . Also email clients compared Evolution or Thunderbird against Microsoft Outlook.

I would take going to the post office and physically sending mail over using Outlook, if I had a choice... Last time I attempted to use it over the web mail, it froze on me... it wasn't a particularly long email or anything...
