    I'm not sure how or why you jumped to the conclusion that they are shipping WASM... though the original firefox did ship firefox running on Xul, ie running in javascript on it's own web-tech-derived framework, and in keeping with that spirit they would probably do well to ship some of their low-iteration components in WASM.

    But I digress similarly to you... lol.

      FF73 bumped to Rust 1.39 & LLVM 9.0.1. Might help bump perf a smidge.

        I just installed the first beta of FF 74 on my Windows machine. Sadly, no Rust 1.40 yet. Hope they don't skip it and wait until 75. They've kept a Version - 1 cadence but now I'm wondering if their faster release schedule isn't aligning with that plan any more. Here's hoping Rust 1.41 and Clang 10 at least makes it into FF 76.release.

        EDIT: Looks like there's bustage with 1.40 but they're rather going with Rust 1.41: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1605188
