I'm pretty sure xxx is "aware" but I'm not sure what s5c and n8s are.

I wrote a quick one-liner to check my /usr/share/dict/words for candidates and n8s might be "neologisms" but I don't see any likely candidates for s5c.

a11y, l10n, i18n are common abbreviations in the software industry.
a11y = accessibility
l10n = localisation
i18n = internationalization

No, this requires deeper changes in the architecture. Basically, Wayland server and Shell would need to get untangled somehow, which is a huge task.
