At this point servo is an experiment, and it will take quite a while before it has a chance of being useful as a daily driver for browsing. Consider it to be an experiment.

Features from Servo like Webrender are copied to Firefox as well, so experiment or not, this can end up being useful a lot sooner than you think.

Doesn't look like they are plugging into vaapi yet. It's about using OpenGL, like mpv is using OpenGL/Vulkan shaders for scaling and other tasks. I.e. better than before, but far from optimal yet.
