This laptop is 2018 hardware with a very good i5 CPU and 8 GB of RAM, but with a couple of extensions, GNOME Shell 3.28 became unusable for me so I switched back to other DE's. And mind you: this is on Solus, which is very, very optimized.

There's a typo in the article, I'm pretty sure that GNOME 3.30 was released at the beginning of September, not February
