It's a little bit ridiculous it took them this long. I've been using arandr for years since it's basically what XFCE should've had from the beginning.

XFCE - my default desktop! - It works great and gets out of your way! Love it - keep up the good work!

I recently gave up on Zaphod mode after using it for years. XFCE handled it moderately well although the settings dialog didn't work. I had to switch because some games stubbornly refuse to respect the DISPLAY variable, usually the ones with old statically linked versions of SDL2. This is actually worse under xrandr but at least you can switch the primary screen without restarting X. Being able to drag between screens is also kinda handy. Now XFCE keeps resetting my second display back to mirrored mode so I hope this new stuff helps.

Really? My only issue is Firefox not respecting dpi seeings.

Well, I've been using two monitors with Xubuntu for a couple years now, and it's pretty much worked. A few games have had trouble - mostly Unity-based ones - but generally things have just worked. This is mostly corner-case stuff.
